Tami L. Thompson Obituary
Thompson, Tami L.

Tami Lou Thompson, age 52, of 1312 Rockledge Rd., Mishicot, died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 after a brief illness at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Tami was born June 18, 1960 in El Sobrante, CA to Donald M. Thompson, Sr. and the late Luella Margaret (Fick) Thompson. She was a graduate of Mishicot High School and earned a bachelors degree in education from the University of Minnesota. Tami taught school for a short time; worked for a commercial insurance agency; and also worked at Younker's. For the past 15 years, Tami was Broker of New Homestead Realty in Mishicot, of which she was co-founder. She also served as past president of Manitowoc County Board of Realtors for four years. Tami was a strong supporter of many local and nationally recognized animal rescue organizations/shelters; she was a huge dog lover who fostered many Golden Retrievers over the years; she enjoyed gardening; and being an avid Viking fan, she loved teasing her friends about the huge Viking-Packer Rivalry!

She is survived by her father, Donald M. Thompson, Sr. of Arizona; one sister & brother-in-law, Jennifer Lou (Rev. Conrad) Braaten of Virginia; two brothers & a sister-in-law, Donald M. (Virginia K.) Thompson, Jr. of Minneapolis, and Ford Thompson & fiance, Staci Sisler of Mishicot; one niece, Kirsten (Tom) Stanley; one nephew - Tami's godchild, Conrad D. (Suporn) Braaten; other relatives and many friends. Tami will also be greatly missed by her (3) four legged companions: Max, Gus, and Sparky. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luella M. Thompson.

There will be a visitation held for Tami at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., Mishicot (TODAY), Saturday Dec. 15, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Private family services will follow, officiated by her brother-in-law, Rev. Conrad Braaten, with burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

Memorials in Tami's name may be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society.

The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Thompson family with funeral arrangements.

Tami's friends will always remember her as one to never judge others, a friend to everybody, sincere and down to earth.
