Pauly, Theodore E.

Theodore E. Pauly, age 92, of 1700 S. 18th Street, Manitowoc passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

Ted was born on June 3, 1920 in Redlands, CA, son of the late Felix and Magdalen (Geimer) Pauly. On June 26, 1948 he married the former Sibylla Schroeder at St Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Ted was a UW-Madison graduate and a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was a chemist for Pauly and Pauly Cheese Company in Manitowoc and a brew master for Kingsbury Beer in Sheboygan. In 1966 he co-founded National Electrostatics Corporation in Middleton, WI and retired from there in 1980. He returned to the Manitowoc area in 2004. Ted enjoyed sailing, books, computers and had a love for learning.

He is survived by his wife: Sibylla, Manitowoc; two sons and four daughters: Craig (Cindy) Pauly, Manitowoc, Madelyn (Charlie) Niessner, Madison, Georgia (Robert) Fay, Two Rivers, Regina Pauly and her fiancé Yag Jha, Platteville, Barbara Pauly, Indianapolis and Vincent (Zhuoyan Li) Pauly, Manitowoc. Six grandchildren: Carrie (Jose Antonio) Estrella, Manitowoc, Christopher Pauly, Madison, Marsha (Craig) Heuer, Madison, Erin Fay, Oklahoma City, Meghan Fay, Milwaukee, Vivian Pauly, Manitowoc; and three great-grandchildren: Kateri, Denzel, and Alekzander Estrella; one sister-in-law: Georgia Beamish, Two Rivers. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by his parents Felix and Magdalen Pauly; an infant daughter: Ann; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Janet Pauly; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Hubert and Shirley Schroeder and John Beamish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Theodore will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Otto Oas Post #659.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, in Manitowoc from 9:30 AM until 10:15AM on Friday, May 3, 2013.
