Glenn W. Kunesh, age 74, of E3873 Cty. Highway G Kewaunee, entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening February 18, 2014, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born April 1, 1939, in Kewaunee Co., to the late Wencil and Martha Wiltman Kunesh, and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1957 graduate of the Kewaunee High School. Glenn served his country in the United States Marines. He married the former Marie Skarvan, July 22, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2002. Glenn owned and operated the family farm in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee Co. for many years. After his retirement he worked for the Schleis family farm. He served on the Tisch Mills Fire Department for 30 plus years, and also served on the town of Carlton Board. He was a member of the Squeeker's Sip Club. He enjoyed many things in life, but especially enjoyed playing Santa, riding his moped all over, playing dartball for 30 plus years, and traveling after his retirement. "Foolishments" was a big part of his life!! He enjoyed having a good time!!

Glenn is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Schisel, of Manitowoc; Donna and Randy Pilgrim, of Kewaunee; Brenda Kuske, of Kewaunee and her fiance Paul Watson, of Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Saddie Kunesh, of Green Bay; Paul and Candy Kunesh, of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren, Kathryn Pierce, Joel (Kristin) Augustine, Nicole (Jon) DeKeyer, Gina Pilgrim and her fiance, Chad Schampers, Jamie Pilgrim, Lennon Riesterer, Levon Riesterer, Wren Kunesh, Jay Kunesh, Robin Kunesh, Jennifer Henrichs and her fiance, Adam Kuehn, Steven Buresh, Heather Kuske; 11 great-grandchildren, Lyla, Jak, Diesel, Gage, Tatum, Angelina, Natalie, Tegan, Caden, Amariyah, and Benson. He is further survived by 5 brothers, Raymond Kunesh, of Manitowoc; Donald Kunesh, of FL; Ronald Kunesh, of Tisch Mills; Jerry (Judy) Kunesh, of Iowa; Sylvester "Pee Wee" and Nancy Kunesh, of Tisch Mills; brothers-in-law, and sister-in-law, Norbert Skarvan, Virgil Skarvan, Eugene Skarvan, David (Anita) Skarvan; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Glenn was also preceded in death by a son, Neil Kunesh; 1 brother-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, and by several nieces, and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills, with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating, and assisted by Deacon Robert Wauvernuk. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Norman. Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 So State St., Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church, until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. There will be a 7:30 p.m. parish wake service Friday evening at the funeral home led by Deacon Robert Wauvernuk.
