Marie Pippert Obituary
Pippert, Marie Dorothea (Lutze)

Marie Dorothea (Lutze) Pippert, 100, former village of Cleveland resident, went home to her Lord, on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was born Jan. 23, 1914, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Albert and Alvina Bull Lutze. She became a member of God's Kingdom through Holy Baptism on Feb. 15, 1914. She was confirmed April 1, 1928. On April 19, 1941, she was united in marriage to Francis F. Pippert, and the couple resided in Cleveland. Francis passed away Dec. 21, 1985. The Lord blessed Marie and Francis with two sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Pippert, Stockton, Calif.; Darryl (Beverly) Pippert, Oostburg, WI; and one daughter, Gayle Pfeifer, Cleveland, Wi. Marie had six grandchildren, Stephen Pippert, Jennifer (Mark) Mand, Cinthia (Edward) Mullins, Scott (Jackie) Pfeifer, David Pippert, and Keith (Mandi) Pfeifer. Marie will also be greatly missed by eight great-grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas Pfeifer, Trevor Arnoldi, Ayvah, Mariah, and Addison Mand, and Michael and Kersti Mullins. Marie was a lifetime resident of Cleveland until 2013, when she moved to Terrace Estates in Sheboygan. She was a life long member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland.

Marie loved all animals and birds, leaving behind her beloved companion, Callie. Marie enjoyed doing chores outdoors at her daughters home, riding her 1983 John Deere tractor. She also loved gardening and canning, especially tomatoes. Neighbors often saw Marie waving from her bicycle on her daily 5:30 a.m. ride through town. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with her friends, many of them young, who admired her zest for life. She loved family gatherings and parties, never missing one. Her dream vacation was a trip to Hawaii, which included a helicopter ride between the islands, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Marie was a member of the Cleveland Senior Center, the Greater Centerville Historian Society, Neighborhood Watch and numerous card clubs with her friends. Marie was so happy to be able to celebrate her 100 year birthday in January with an open house celebration, where she enjoyed once again seeing her friends. We will all miss her smiles and sense of humor.

Preceding her in death, her husband, Francis; one son, Thomas, her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, and her grandsons, Stephen and David, all of California.

Funeral Services for Marie, will be held at noon, Thursday March 6, 2014, at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate and burial will follow at the Saxon Cemetery in Town Centerville. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Thursday March 6, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. The Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, is assisting the family with these funeral arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in Marie Pippert's name. The family would like to extend a grateful thanks to Dr. Pawlak, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Green, and the 4th floor orthopedic nursing staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for their tender care.
