St. Pierre, LaVerne C.

LaVerne C. St. Pierre, age 94, a resident of Harmony House of Two Rivers, died on Tuesday morning, March 4, 2014 at Harmony House.

LaVerne was born on October 3, 1919 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Peter and Mary "Goldie" (Meneau) Ozga. After high school, she attended the School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee, WI. On December 31, 1941 she married Dorrell "Whitey" St. Pierre at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1976. LaVerne worked for Mirro Aluminum Company and later as a beautician in Two Rivers. She was also a house wife and the bookkeeper for St. Pierre Electric. LaVerne was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul and at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. She was a former member of the Ladies of St. Luke and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. LaVerne was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Gib and Norette St. Pierre, Two Rivers; her daughter and son-in-law: Debra St. Pierre and Larry Michalski, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Eric (Shanda) St. Pierre, Suffolk, VA, Christopher (Jamie) St. Pierre, Two Rivers, Andre (Jennifer) St. Pierre, Gilbert, AZ; two great grandchildren: Akaysha and Alexis. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Genevieve Sawicki and Gertrude McPherson.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Peter the Fisherman, Two Rivers, from 9:30a.m. until 10:15a.m.

LaVerne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all.
