Borths, Russell Jule
Russell Jule Borths, 70, Necedah, Wis., passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Serenity House in Tomah, Wis., with his daughter, Theresa and son, Rusty by his side.
Memorial services will be Noon on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wis. Father Joseph Redfern will officiate.
Friends may call at Roseberry's on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Russell was born Sept. 10, 1943, in Manitowoc, Wis., to Felix and Anna (Henry) Borths. Following the passing of his father, his mother married Joe Pietzak and together they raised Russell and his siblings in Necedah. He married Audrey Darlene Bode Withers on Aug. 24, 1968, in Necedah, Wis. Together they raised her children and their children together.
Russell served six years in the National Guard 732D Maintenance Battalion (1964-1970). While serving, he earned his automotive repair license and his Rifle M-1 sharpshooter qualification.
Russell worked at Becker Forest Products in Necedah, for 40 years. Russell was a very hard worker, but he always made sure to take time off for the walleye run every spring.
Russell enjoyed watching the Packers, listening to the Brewers, and hunting. He thoroughly enjoyed his trips to Montana for elk hunting (and to visit his family), and having an ice cold Old Milwaukee with his friends and family.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Anna Borths; wife, Audrey Darlene Borths; 3 brothers, Ralph, Henry, and Clifford; 4 sisters, Alice, Laverne, Maysel, Marcella; stepdaughter, Sherry Withers; and stepfather, Joseph Pietzak.
Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Borths, Necedah, Wis.; son, Rusty (Fay) Borths, Necedah, Wis.; son, Donald Borths, Mauston, Wis.; son, Jeff Borths; stepson, Rick Withers of Iowa; stepson, Guy Withers of Necedah, Wis.; stepson, Darwin Withers, Mauston, Wis.; stepson, Jerry Withers, Spencer, Iowa; stepdaughter, Nylene Howell, Mauston, Wis.; brother, Leroy (Rose Mary) Borths, Manitowoc, Wis.; brother, Marvin Borths, Nekoosa, Wis.; sister, Dolores Grall, Manitowoc, Wis.; sister, Sandy (Frank) Bezemek, Necedah, Wis.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
