King, Gerald T.
Gerald T. King, age 78, of 1020 South 12th Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
Jerry was born on May 15, 1935 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Vernon and Mildred Lovald King. Jerry was a graduate of Mukwonago High School with the class of 1953. He then entered the United States Marine Corps serving his country from 1956 until 1958. During that time he served overseas in the Mediterranean. After his honorable discharge Jerry returned to Milwaukee and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jerry was employed at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center until he retired in 2004. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Jerry enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
He is survived by one son: Kevin King and his fiance' Laurie Lemberger, Two Rivers, WI; one daughter: Rebecca Ney and her significant other Brian Meihsner, Manitowoc, WI; five grandchildren: Andrea, Ashley, Tanya, Brittany, Kayla; four great grandchildren: Joshusa, Ariella, Lily and Sawyer; stepfather: Al Burhandt, Fox Lake, WI; half sister: Sandy Mouser: Fox Lake, WI; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Mildred King; one brother: Thomas King.
Memorial services will be held 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 5:00 p.m.
