Carol M. Maaske, age 86, of 3504 Joseph Road, Manitowoc died peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.

Carol was born on August 6, 1927 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Bruce) Zietlow. She graduated from Valders High School in 1945. Carol did office work in Milwaukee where she met and married Curtis Maaske on April 10, 1949. Together they owned and operated the Everglades Supper Club in New Prospect, WI until 1972. They had two gift shops located in Fond du Lac and Eden that they owned and operated together until their retirement in 1987.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Karen Zietlow of Manitowoc; one step daughter: Nancy and her husband: Dennis Travers of Green Bay; four step grandchildren: Lori Ragen, Rodney Travers and Patti Travers all of Green Bay and Jodi Schaefer of Florida. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Curtis of 61 years on January 1, 2011; also three brothers: Donald, William and Glenn Zietlow; four sisters: Edith Brennan, Ethel Samuelson, LaVerne Zutz and all of their spouses as well as Marlene Zietlow.

Funeral services for Carol will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with a luncheon to follow the service at All-Care Family Center. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM
