Amond, Shirley A. "Tuttie"

Shirley A. "Tuttie" Amond, age 65, of 1408 16th St. Two Rivers, died Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014 at her residence, with her children at her side.

Shirley was born December 1, 1948, in Tomahawk, WI to the late Norman J. and Dorothy M. (Sutherland) Mohr. She graduated from Wausau Sr. High School with the class of 1966. Shirley was employed with Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers for 25 years until retiring due to health reasons. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and ceramics; she was an excellent pool player; and also enjoyed volleyball and bowling. On August 20, 1983, Shirley married Darrel Amond in Two Rivers.

Survivors include her three children: Tina Christman of Two Rivers, Todd (Sandy) Marmes, and Paul Marmes, all of New Holstein; five grandchildren: Nicole, Joshua, Valene & Darren Marmes, and Cory James Christman; two step grandchildren: Amber & Brittney Jonas; and one great granddaughter: Aubrey. She is further survived by two sisters, Nancy Dayton of West Bend, Jean Nelson of Florence, Colorado; one brother & two sisters-in-law, Larry (Nancy) Mohr of Montello, Vera Mohr of Wycena, WI; her special companion, "Pepper"; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Lloyd Kees; a brother, Gary Mohr; and her "adopted grandson" the late great Eric Neuman.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the East Twin Pub & Grill, 1204 18th Street, Two Rivers. Burial of her cremated remains will take place in Knollwood Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeshore Humane Society.

Tina would like extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Gahl & Staff, and to Kim, Melissa & Hope of the Heartland Hospice Team for the compassionate care and kindness extended to Shirley. She would also like to especially thank some dear friends which include: Tom & Shawn Neuman, Jeff Achten, Cory Christman, Tim Rohr, Mandy Free, Benny Benedict, and Chris Brose for their friendship and always being there to lend a helping hand when needed and helping her through this most difficult time.
