Joseph Kurth Obituary
Joseph R. "Joe" Kurth, age 64, of 3817 E. Hillcrest Road, Two Rivers, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon at his residence with his family by his side.

Joe was born August 7, 1947, in the town of New Denmark, son of the late Harry E. and Agnes (Kaster) Kurth. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in Lai Khe during the Tet Offensive serving with the "Big Red 1." On September 13, 1969, he married the former Linda Loeser at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Joe enjoyed hunting , fishing, camping and was an avid Packer Fan. He enjoyed "fixing" anything especially small engines. He was everybody's friend; always willing to lend a helping hand. Joe knew something about everything but wasn't a know it all. He was always ready to have a good time! Joe was employed with Clem Becker Meats in Two Rivers, and most recently with Wisconsin Nationwide in Two Rivers. He was a member of the Westshore Sportsman Club and the 20 Grand Club. Joe also served as an usher at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Kurth, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Carrie and David Wiza, Fond du Lac; Liz and Joe Becker, Manitowoc; one son, Jeremy Kurth, Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Lauren, Tyler and Shayna Wiza, Antonio Kumbalek; special pets: Sprout, Jasmine, Chloe and Lambeau; brothers and sisters: Ervin (Jean) Kurth, Green Bay; Arnold Kurth, Pine Grove; Caroline Goessel, Sheboygan; Helen (Gary) Crevier, Appleton; Martin (Judy) Kurth, Pine Grove; Bernard (Marlene) Kurth, Maribel; Gertie (Fred) Martin, Cooperstown; Eileen (Wayne) Junio, Bellevue; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Greg (Gretchen) Loeser, Iola: Ann (Al) Schad, New Holstein; and Bonnie Loeser, Toledo, OH. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law: Joanne Kurth, Genevieve Kurth; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Robert Sr. and Donna Loeser; and a brother-in-law: Robert Loeser, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Military Honors will be presented by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731, Manitowoc. Cremation will follow at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the church from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m.
