Richard M. Reimer, age 60, of 3412 Riverview Dr., Two Rivers, died peacefully, Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 2012, after a short illness with cancer, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Richard was born August 16, 1951, in Whitelaw, a son of the late Raymond and Dolores (Vogel) Reimer. He attended St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1969. On January 15, 1972, he married Patricia Schuman at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Rick was employed at Mirro, Kelvinator, and most recently at Manitowoc Ice. Rick enjoyed time with his family and supporting his children and grandchildren in their many activities. He also enjoyed cooking and making his specialty smore bars.
Survivors include his wife: Pat Reimer, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Kim Reimer, Two Rivers; two daughters: Renee Reimer and Rachel Reimer, both of Two Rivers; three grandchildren: Austin and Bryce Reimer and Caitlin Schwerma; and one brother: Ronnie (Julie) Reimer, Whitelaw. He is further survived by his mother-in-law: Evelyn Schuman, Two Rivers and sister-in-law: Bonnie (Tim) Theiss, Two Rivers, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law: Fredrick Schuman and brother-in-law: Richard Schuman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers on Sunday evening, April 15, 2012, from 4 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Monday morning from 9 until 10:15 a.m.
Rick's family would like to extend a special thanks to the Two Rivers Fire Dept., Kris Lambert and Becky Pelnar for the food during our hospital stay. Thank you to Dr. Barylak and Dr. Gahl, the staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Aurora Medical Center 3rd Floor and Emergency Room staff for the excellent care given to Rick during his illness.
