Gladys A. Zutz, age 82, of 106 N. 1st Street, St. Nazianz, died Monday evening, October 29, 2012, at Azura Memory Care, Manitowoc.

Gladys was born on January 13, 1930, in Edgerton, WI, daughter of the late Leslie and Lydia Reichardt Perschke. Gladys was a graduate of Brillion High School with the class of 1947. On July 15, 1950 she married Aubrey Zutz in Brillion. Gladys was employed with Miller Law Office as a tax preparer from 1978 until 1992. She was a talented piano and organ player, playing the organ at church for many years. She enjoyed knitting, painting, and needlepoint. Gladys loved flowers, especially working in her large garden. She liked to travel, traveling to all 50 states, parts of Europe and Canada. She gave blood for many years, donating 40 pints. Gladys was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Manitowoc County Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband; Aubrey Zutz, St. Nazianz; four children; Kathryn and Gerald Wiskow, Port Washington; Kenneth and Rhonda Zutz, Longmont, CO; Sharon and Walter Asbury, Southlake, TX; John and Angie Zutz, Plover, WI; 11 grandchildren; Robert, Michael, Sarah, William, Christopher, Elizabeth, Samuel, Emily, Trevor, Taylor Rae, Tolya, one great grand daughter; Emma; two sisters-in-law: Annabelle Ebenhoe, Manitowoc; Lorraine (Walter) Stenzel, Valders; one brother-in-law: William (Elaine) Zutz, Valders; two sisters-in-law: LaVern Zutz, Manitowoc and Carol Zutz, St. Nazianz. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Gladys was also preceded in death by one infant son: Robert; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Marion (Calvin) Praeger and Marlene (Luther) Cook; three brothers-in-law: Tom Ebenhoe, Orlan Zutz, and Teddy Zutz.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Philemon Hensel, with burial to follow at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been establised in Gladys name.
