Kohlbeck, Flossie

Flossie Kohlbeck, age 97, a former Whitelaw resident, died Monday evening, November 19, 2012 at the Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.

The former Flossie Brunner was born on March 16, 1915 in the Town of Mishicot, daughter of the late Anton and Erna (Schimmel) Brunner. She grew up in Whitelaw and was a graduate of St. Michael Catholic Grade School. On June 28, 1938, Flossie was married to Raymond "Sep" Kohlbeck at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1996. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael Christian Mothers, St. Michael's Quilting Group and the Whitelaw Senior Citizens.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Donald (Rita) Kohlbeck, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Brian (Teresa) Kohlbeck, St. Paul, MN; Cheryl Halverson, Cedarburg and her special friend: Peter Alex; four great grandchildren: Lauren Kohlbeck, Madison; Sarah Kohlbeck, St. Paul, MN; Drew and Caleigh Halverson, Cedarburg; one sister: Genrose Falvey, Manitowoc, one sister-in-law: Kathleen Brunner, Whitelaw, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton and Erna Brunner; her husband: Raymond "Sep" Kohlbeck; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Howard Brunner; Raymond (Emogene) Brunner; and one brother-in-law: Bill Falvey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of her cremated remains to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Kohlbeck family.
