Eis, Jerry J.

Jerry J. Eis, 64, of 2516 Two Creeks Rd., Mishicot, entered into eternal life Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. Jerry was born April 28, 1948, in Manitowoc Co., to the late Raymond and Bernice Sharpe Eis and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of the Mishicot High School graduating with the class of 1966. Jerry served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, where he served in Viet Nam. He was awarded the Purple Heart. On June 6, 1970, Jerry married the former Cheryl Owart in Two Rivers. He was a co-owner of Eis Implement of Two Rivers, where he served as parts manager. Jerry retired in 2006. He was a former basketball coach at Holy Cross School in Mishicot for seven years. Jerry was an avid bowler, golfer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; one daughter and son-in-law, Heather and David Malone, San Antonio, Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Christopher and Casey Eis, Green Bay; Eric Eis and his special friend, Kayla Pirus, both of Marinette; two grandchildren, Morrigan and Murphy Malone; one brother, Jim (Shirley) Eis, Mishicot; three sisters, Patsy (Roy) Miller, Mishicot; Sandy (Donald) Schofield, California; Jean and Bruce Edziak, California. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Nancy (Donald) Guetschow, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, David Wegner, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Jane Wegner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home 344 So. State St., Mishicot, with the Reverend John Becker officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (TONIGHT). Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Military rites will be accorded immediatley following the service by the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post #7753. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. Jerry's family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff, especially the ICU of the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, for their, love, special care, and support given to Jerry and our family during his hospitalization. Your kindness will always be remembered.
