Loppnow, Dorothy "Dotty"
Dorothy "Dotty" Loppnow, 88, Manitowoc formerly of Wayside died Saturday, May 11, 2013.
She was born June 19, 1924, in Manitowoc County to the late Martin and Elsie Borchardt Brandt. She married Gilbert Loppnow June 19, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside. Dorothy was a former custodian at Wayside Zion Lutheran Church and was employed at various places in Manitowoc cleaning homes.
Survivors include one daughter Susan Wolfe and her husband Roland Baldwin, Valders; one son Gary Loppnow, Madison; two grandchildren: Jon and Kristen Wolfe, North Carolina; Michael and Kelsey Wolfe, Whitelaw; two great grandchildren: Kelan and Evangeline Wolfe; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and LaVerne Brandt, Reedsville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in 2004; one brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Erna Brandt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Elroy and Lorraine Dix, Melvin and Irma Berninger; step mother, Frieda Glandorf Brandt.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 16, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 8378 County Road W, Wayside, WI. Funeral 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Steven Kline and Rev. David Boettcher officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
