Glover, Harley K.

Harley K. Glover, age 69, of 1613 - 24th St. Two Rivers, died peacefully Friday night, May 24, 2013 at his residence after a long battle with paget's disease.

Harley was born September 7, 1943 in Manitowoc, to the late Harley O. and Betty (Schmitt) Glover. He attended Niagara High School before entering the U.S. Army where he served from 1960 - 1963. Harley returned to college in his later years, and earned a degree in Material Management. On November 24, 1972, he married Diane (Knutson) Karl in Manitowoc. The couple lived in Michigan for several years, where Harley worked for Fayas & Sons Cement Company. After returning to the Lakeshore, he also worked for Lakeshore Packaging and Lakeside Foods of Manitowoc. In his younger days, Harley enjoyed fishing, hunting, and doing home repairs; and in his later years, he enjoyed researching interests on the computer, playing with his great grandchildren, and spending time with the family dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Glover of Two Rivers; daughter, Angela, and her fiancé, George Rivera of Two Rivers; step children: Vicky (Rich) Hubbard, Christine Williquette, William (Mary) Karl, all of Manitowoc, Kevin Karl and special friend, Connie Welnetz of Two Rivers; grandchildren: Cynde Helke, Holly Lehman, Miguel Rivera, Johnathan Rivera, Tiffany Karl, Bradley Karl, Brianna Karl, Brooke Karl and Brandon Karl; and great grandchildren: Warren, Miranda, Calliegh, Jaxson, Dominic and Milana. He is further survived by a very dear friend, Bob Schultz, of Manitowoc; along with aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Myron and Janet Knutson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Jacobs; and a son-in-law, Chuck Williquette.

According to Harley's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
