Donald S. Copeskey, Jr., age 60, of 1403 Polk St., Two Rivers, died Friday morning, June 21, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Donald was born September 18, 1953 in Chelsea, MA, son of Roberta "Bobby" (Zuskind) Copeskey and the late Donald S. Copeskey, Sr. He married the former Carol Schlough on October 9, 1990 in Manitowoc. Don served in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran where he had been declared MIA. He received the Bronze Star for heroic action saving his platoon. Don was active at the Two Rivers Public Library and an avid Packer fan. He loved the outdoors and was a hunter and fisherman. His hobbies included making jewelry and enjoying nature. He was a welder and pipe fitter and was last employed at Lakeside Foods.
Survivors include his wife: Carol Copeskey, Two Rivers: his mother: Roberta "Bobby" Copeskey, Manitowoc; four children: Dylan Copeskey, Manitowoc: Dustin (Katie) Copeskey, Two Rivers: Brigid (Zachary) Comstock, Jacksonville, NC: Jessica Copeskey, Manitowoc: three grandchildren: Amelya, Raelin and Adric: one brother, Brian Copeskey, Texas: three nieces: Sonya (Samir)Tanna, Chicago, IL, Hannah Copeskey and Lia Copeskey, both of Milwaukee.
In addition to his father he was preceded by two brothers Larry and Mike Copeskey.
Cremation has occurred and a memorial service will be held at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dick Mauthe. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m. At the conclusion of the services, full military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731.
