Tanck, Donald J.

Donald J. Tanck, age 50, of 2301 Washington Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, September 1, 2013 at Aurora Bay Care, Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born on January 11, 1963 in Appleton, WI., son of Donald H. Tanck and the late Jane L. (Henry) Tanck. He was a graduate of Appleton West High School with the class on 1981 and later received his C.N.A. degree from Fox Valley Technical Institute in Appleton. Don was employed as a C.N.A. for 25 years at various nursing facilities in the area. He was currently employed with the Manitowoc Health Care Center as a Maintenance Engineer.

Survivors include his father: Donald H. Tanck, Appleton; one sister: Liz Tanck, Appleton; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Gary Tanck, Green Bay, Jerry and Lori Tanck, Appleton; his favorite uncle: Dan Henry, Menasha; and his special friend: Louis LaBoy, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Jane L. Tanck; and one sister: Sally (Tanck) Synder.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Wayne Anderson with cremation to follow at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.

Donnie cherished his dogs, enjoyed camping, gardening, helping others, making people smile and laugh, and of course practical jokes.
