Dorothy M. Nack, age 86, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday morning, September 6, 2013 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on October 9, 1926 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Ulrich and Helen (Kadow) Duveneck. Dorothy was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On December 9, 1947 she married Elmer Nack in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2000. Dorothy was employed at White House Milk and later at Holy Family Hospital as a psych technician for 15 years and also a C.N.A. for 10 years. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and her family time at Cedar Lake. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver and was an avid computer person, her gateway to the world and her many trips to Las Vegas.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Kay & Joseph Wetak, Janice & Randall Sonnemann; a son and daughter-in-law: Robert & Bonnie Nack, all of Manitowoc; ten grandchildren: Kerri Ann Rose (Gary), Sara Nack, Michelle Skubal (fiancé Lance Laabs), Ross Jasmer (Laura), Brian Nack (Cheryl), Monica Hanley (Edward), Bryan Wetak (Gudrun), Robert Wetak (Wendy), Lisa Rosinsky (Tim), Kevin Sonnemann (Amy); 20 great grandchildren; a sister: Janet Pribek, a brother: Leroy Duveneck, and two sisters-in-law: Luanne Duveneck and Katie Naidl, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Tracie Ann Nack; a brother: Robert Duveneck; a brother-in-law: Donald Pribek; and two sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Duveneck and Lorna Nack.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Chaplin Elisabeth Sinclair with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Friends may also call Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
