Anderson, Norman C.

Norman C. Anderson, age 80, formerly of Two Rivers, currently of Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the center.

Norman was born November 28, 1932 in Manitowoc, son of the late Norman and Gladys (Thone) Anderson. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 until 1971 retiring from serving on destroyers and submarines (conventional and nuclear). Norman traveled the world attaining the position of a Chief Petty Officer. On April 7, 1956 he married the former Janet Freidenberger at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She survives. He retired as a maintenance man for the Two Rivers public schools after 24 years. Norman and Janet enjoyed traveling, spending winters in AZ, fishing and camping in Shawano. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers and the American Legion Post # 165 of Two Rivers.

Survivors besides his wife Janet Anderson, Manitowoc include six children and spouses: Pam & Tom Mott; Alvin & Julie Anderson, all of Manitowoc; Teresa & John Sisel, Two Rivers; Christopher Anderson, Manitowoc; Veronica & Mike Kihl, Kaukauna; Thomas & Jane Anderson, Sheboygan; ten grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Darlene & Richard Woodruff, N.C.; and one sister-in-law: Jenny Anderson, FL. Norman was preceded in death by one brother Erwin Anderson and one sister Alice Anderson.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center and services for Norman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial of the cremated remains to be at Knollwood Cemetery, town of Kossuth. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the V.F.W. Post #1248 and the American Legion Post #165, both of Two Rivers following the service at church.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 9:30 a.m until 10:45 a.m.
