Victor R. Schill, age 72, of Glenbeulah, WI, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Friday Evening (Nov. 15, 2013).
Victor was born on June 30, 1941 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Gilbert and Marcella (Steffen) Schill.
He graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan in 1959.
Victor served in the United States Army from 1960-1962 serving in the Berlin Crisis.
On July 8, 1967 he married Kay Schomaker at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
The couple resided in Sheboygan after their marriage and have lived in Glenbeulah since 2005.
Victor worked at the Kohler Company retiring after 38 years. He also worked at John Plestz Landscaping and the Town of Wilson for 20 years and the Sheboygan County Fair for 10 years. In the later years of his retirement, he worked at the Plymouth Review.
He was a member of the Hassle-Doebert-Schmidt Greenbush American Legion Post # 261 and also belonged to the VFW Post # 9156 in Sheboygan.
Victor enjoyed car shows and his Show Truck, bowling, fishing, and played Mr. Santa Claus for many years to the enjoyment of many families.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years: Kay of Glenbeulah; Two sons: Raymond (Joyce) Schill of Sheboygan and Russell Schill of Glenbeulah; Two grandchildren: David Aman of Wisconsin Rapids and Ericka Schill of Glenbeulah; Two step grandchildren: Alyssa and Sarah Woelfel; Two step great grandchildren: Azrielle and Sekora Berge; Two sisters: Pauline (Owen) DeLong of Cleveland, WI and Marie (Steven) Meser of Sheboygan; One brother-in-law: Willie (Jane) Schomaker of Madison.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: LeRoy Schill.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 21) at 4:00 P.M. at The Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Father Dan Lasecki will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the CHAPEL from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Victor's name.
The Hassle-Doebert-Schmidt American Legion Post # 261 and the VFW Post # 9156 will conduct military rites at the chapel following the services.
