Michael Cisler Obituary
Michael P. Cisler, age 65 a former Manitowoc resident died on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Eagle River Memorial Hospital.
Mike was born on March 15, 1948 in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Clara (Liebe) Cisler. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1966. Mike enlisted in the Marine Corps in May of 1968, serving in the Vietnam War. On April 11, 1988 he married his beautiful wife: Susan Luedtke in Manitowoc. Mike was employed with Busch Agricultural Resources Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 2010. Upon retirement, Mike and Sue were able to realize their dream and moved to Eagle River where he was able to enjoy plenty of time with his wife, family, and friends. Mike spent as much time as he could on the water, where he was able to fish, fish, and fish some more.
He is survived by his wife: Sue Cisler; five children and their spouses: Angie (Matt) Kleinfeldt of Manitowoc, Melanie Cisler of Minneapolis, MN, BJ Cisler of Manitowoc, John (Kirsten) Hagenow of Milwaukee, WI, and Jennifer Hagenow (Jason Wilkinson) of Seattle, WA; 5 beautiful grandchildren; one brother: Emil (Diane) Cisler; one sister: Helen (Curt) Pozorski; mother-in-law: Dory Luedtke; three sisters-in-law: Karen (Gregg) Lulloff, Mary (Dick) Revenal and Barbara Wagner; two brothers-in-law: Tom (Mary Ellen) Luedtke and Bucky (Cindy) Luedtke. Mike is further survived by numerous other loved family members.
He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Lucille (Duane) Slovensky; father-in-law: Robert C. Luedtke and a brother-in-law: Terry Luedtke.
The family will greet relatives and friends at All-Care Family Center, 925 S. 14th Street Manitowoc, (located across the street from the Pfeffer Funeral Home) on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW - Otto Oas Post #659 at 6:00 P.M. at All-Care Cremation Center.
Cremation will follow the visitation and Mike will be laid to rest at a later date.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the family and distributed to the VFW - Manitowoc Chapter and Muskies, Incorporated in Mike's honor.

We are friends of the Trinens,next door neighbors to Mike and Sue...We visited Mike and Sue by bicycle several times when we vacationed up north... They were both VERY friendly and enjoyed my visits...My deepest sympathy to Sue and the rest of Mikes family...He was a Diamond among stones...He will be missed greatly by all...

Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Although I hadn't seen him in many years, as I had moved to Texas in 1988, I've thought of him and attempted to locate him recently. I have many good memories of the good times that we had when we worked at Dick Brothers' Bakery.

Our deepest sympathies to you Sue and your family. So shocked to hear about Mike.
Will always remember the summer trips to our cabin next to yours, and BJ Krista and Michael having so much fun, while we all vacationed together.
Will miss Mike on our visits, but look forward to seeing you and your family soon.
