Obituaries from the Past Week

Norman, Roxann
Roxann Buhler Norman August 31, 1954 - May 20, 2016 Roxann Buhler Norman passed away on May 20, 2016 following a four year battle with cancer. Roxy was born in Boise, Idaho, on August 31, 1954, the oldest child of Lyle Emery and Dian Frisby Buhler. Roxy was preceded in death by her daughters Toddi and Tawny Jacobs. She is survived by her husband, Robert James Norman of Caldwell; her sons, Trenity Jacobs (Jenn) of Nampa, Tjay Jacobs (Holli) of Merced, California; her stepsons, Jared Norman (Darlene) of Santa Cruz , California, Timothy Norman (Marissa) and Matthew Norman, both of Caldwell; her parents Lyle and Dian Buhler of Caldwell; her brothers, Roger Buhler of Cascade, Idaho, Reed Buhler, of Longmont, Colorado, Ryan Buhler, of Caldwell, Idaho, Rich Buhler of Monterrey, Mexico, her sister Romy Buhler Douglass, of Clarkston Washington, and by 11 1/2 grandchildren. After kindergarten in Caldwell, Roxy's family moved to Utah, returning to Caldwell in 1963 when Roxy was in the fourth grade. The remainder of her schooling was in Caldwell at Washington Elementary, Jefferson Jr. High and Caldwell High School. There are very few things that Roxy was content to observe from the sidelines. She was rarely a spectator. She played football with her brothers and their friends and was an accomplished horsewoman and barrel racer. She was the Littlest Angel in her junior high production of that play; volunteered as a candy-striper while in high school and earned a spot on the CHS drill team. She choreographed dances for her college ward's participation in a dance festival and was a drill team member at Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho), graduating from there in 1974. Roxy participated fully in life. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served in Primary, Young Women and most recently Relief Society. She has been a teacher, a valued counselor, an exemplary president and devoted temple ordinance worker. Viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.on Friday May 27th, 2016 at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Idaho. Memories and condolences may be shared at . Services will be held on Saturday May 28th, 2016 at the Caldwell Idaho Stake Center on 3015 So. Kimball Caldwell, Idaho 83605 at 1:00 PM.
