Abel Bandin Olivarez, 55 of Parma, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, January 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma. Abel was born April 12, 1957 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Genaro and Lucia Bandin Olivarez. He was raised and educated in Parma and Arizona, traveling back and forth with his family during farming seasons. It was in Arizona that Abel met his wife, Gregoria. They settled in Parma with their young family in the mid 1980's. Abel worked at AgriLines Irrigation in Parma for 12 years before starting his own company, Abel's Backhoe and Welding. Abel was a "jack-of-all-trades" and was always ready and willing to help anyone. There was nothing that he couldn't do.
Abel loved to hunt, fish and BBQ with his family and friends. He adored his grandchildren and spent as much time with them as he could. Abel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jose Angel Olivarez, and 2 infant brothers.
Abel is survived by his wife, Gregoria "Goya" Olivarez of Parma; their sons, Greg White and Gilbert White, both of Parma, and Abel Olivarez, Jr of Maricopa, AZ; his sister, Otila Gonzales of Dayton, OR; 4 brothers, Genaro Olivarez, Jr. of Buckeye, AZ, Abe Olivarez of Merced, CA, Ben Olivarez of McMinnville, OR and Ramiro Olivarez of Casa Grande, AZ; 4 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
