Alice Marie (Bale) Russell, 68, of Cascade, formerly of Middleton, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at a Meridian hospital.
Alice was born May 23, 1945 to Alton C. and Eva C. Bale in Parma, Idaho. She was the second child of 6 siblings and attended elementary and East Jr. High in Boise as well as Boise High School.
She married the love of her life and best friend David R. Russell on February 3, 1962 at the Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise. They had four daughters: Debbie, Paula, Jo Lynne and Brenda. During their 51 years of marriage they lived in various places due to Dave being in the Air Force. And by the time retirement rolled around, they settled in Cascade, Idaho.
Alice worked at J.R. Simplot for 13 years before retirement. She was a lead person and was very respected in her position. Everyone that knew her liked her quick and witty humor and her sense of leadership.
She was a Life Member of the Good Sam's Club, Life Member of the Valley Corvette Club and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3691 of Caldwell for 33 years, with one year as Madam President from 1991-92. Alice really enjoyed their trips to Jackpot. She loved to watch the outdoor concerts and playing the one armed bandits.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David R. Russell, Daughters; Debbie Kammeyer (Scott) of Nampa, Paula Packer (Mark) of Caldwell, Jo Lynne Ward (Dan) of Caldwell and Brenda Cook (Crawford) of Homedale. And honorary son-in-law Larry Cooper of Middleton. Siblings; Nina J. Smith of Post Falls, Mary Lane of Kuna, Roy (Peggy) Bale of Nampa and Carl Bale of Kuna. Grandchildren; Belinda Belemudez, Shelley Kammeyer (George), Dawn Lyons (Jermey), and Brianna Kammeyer (Charlie), Alicia Packer, Tim Packer, James Coates, Chris Cooper (Tailere), Shane Ward (Mary), Cassidy Cook and Amanda Cook. Great Grandchildren; Lillie Belemudez, Hailey Lyons, Logan and Evan Ward, Gavin Randall, Kennedi Cooper and Leo Coates. Plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by both parents, Alton C. Bale and Eva C. Bale, sister- Lola K. Bale, and grandson David Levi Packer.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014, 3:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
