Donna Robison

Donna June Robison
Donna June Robison, 83, entered heaven on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was a resident of Grace Assisted Living in Nampa, Idaho. Donna was born in Nampa in June of 1930 to Branson and Mabel Shelton. She spent her childhood helping her parents on their farm on Track Road in southeast Nampa. Donna's family consisted of her parents and three sisters, Marie, Lois and Doris. Donna first attended school at Bowmont and then continued on to Happy Valley School. When the family farm was incorporated into the Nampa School District, Donna transferred to Nampa High School where she graduated in 1947. Donna married Glen Pirnie in 1947 and subsequently had two children, Ronald Pirnie and Diana Pirnie Wilson both of Nampa. Donna and Glen's marriage ended in 1961. Donna later met Roy Robison and they were married in 1962. Roy brought three daughters to the family: Arizona Mausling, Georgia Martin, and Carolina Riley.
Donna and Roy owned a trucking company. They leased their trucks to Armour Meat Packing Company in Nampa to haul their meat to various cities in the northwest and California. They later sold the trucking company to their much loved nephew, Thomas Robison. After selling the business, Roy and Donna became "snow birds" and maintained residences in both Nampa and Arizona. They spent many happy years traveling. Roy and Donna traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska. They went on several cruises and visited many areas in the United States.
When Donna and Roy decided to stop traveling to Arizona, they built storage units on property adjacent to the Karcher Ranch Market in Nampa which was owned by Roy's brother, Stanley Robison. Donna kept the books for the businesses and Roy managed the property. Together they built a very successful business. Roy and Donna sold the storage units when Stanley sold the market.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marie Ball and Lois Sallee, her husband Roy, brother-in-law Ray Grossaint, brothers-in-law Earl Robison and Stanley Robison as well as their wives Treva and Orphena. A brother, John Shelton, died shortly after birth. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Gail) Pirnie, daughter Diana (Thomas) Wilson, step-daughters Arizona Mausling, Georgia (Jim) Martin, and Carolina (Dennis) Riley. She is also survived by her loving sister, Doris Grossaint, granddaughters Julie (Stephen) Keeney, Lisa (Tim) Fiola, and Lori Pirnie, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
