Emma V. Anderson-Stockman went to her heavenly home on February 14, 2013 at her Autumn Winds Assisted Living home in Caldwell following a long illness. She was born on a homestead west of Homedale to Harris and Nettie Rhoe on June 8, 1922 joining her two older brothers, Cloyd and Carlton Rhoe. At the age of 6 months, she and her family moved to Burr Oak, Kansas and at the age of 11 to Vanise, California where Emma graduated from Covina High School. The family moved back to a farm west of Homedale in 1943. Emma married Toralf (Slim) Anderson in 1944 and they had two daughters, Gale and Joyce. Toralf passed away in 1972 and she later married Arthur Stockman who passed away in 1980.
Emma worked for many years at J.R. Simplot's before retiring because of health issues. She enjoyed drawing, gardening, and crocheting until her loss of eyesight no longer allowed her to do so. Emma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Nampa.
