On February 21, 2014 Floyd Junior Collins "Punk" passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Floyd was born November 18, 1944 in Douglas County Missouri. Floyd worked various jobs in the early years of his life then began working for the J.R. Simplot Company in 1971 as a mechanic. He retired from Simplot in December of 1999 as a maintenance manager in the transportation department. Floyd enjoyed being outdoors the most fishing, hunting, camping, or just watching the campfire and telling stories with his family.
Floyd is survived by his wife of over 50 years Judy Collins, his three children Brenda (Monty) Miller, Deborah Collins (Ipsen), Rod (Robin) Collins, ten Grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters Clifton (Janice) Collins, Edna Ann (Bob) Portenier, Jimmy (Carol) Collins, Mike (Glenda) Collins, Geneva Riley, Chris (Sandy) Collins, two sister-in-laws Barbara Scrivner, JoAnn Stuart, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Collins, mother Cora Collins, in-laws Clarence and Elizabeth Benigar, and 2 nephews Brian Luna and Jason Collins...10 travel trailers, 3 motor homes, 2 boats, 6 trucks, 5 ATVs, few dogs, and a Corvette.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, in Caldwell from 5:00-8:00 pm. Services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm also at Flahiff Funeral Chapel. Pastor Ron Palermo will officiate. Burial will follow at Wilder Cemetery.
