Hazel Baker Korn
September 11, 1924 - November 13, 2012
Hazel Baker Korn, 88, of Nampa, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on September 11, 1924 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to David Pirnie and Ora Barnes Pirnie. She married Orville Baker in 1942 and he died in 1974. In March of 1986 Hazel married Anthony Korn and he passed away in July of 2009.
Besides her two husbands she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Rho), Doyle (Judy), Connie, Therese, Barbara (Bob) and Tim (Brandy); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was an LPN for many years working in surgery and bedside care in the Nampa and Boise areas. She was active with the Nampa Senior Center, Catholic Daughters and Eastern Star.
A vigil service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise. A reception will be held at the Dempsey Hall below St. Paul's at 1:00 P.M. following the burial. An online guest book may be signed at www.nampafuneralhome.com
