Jolene was born November 29, 1937 in Venita, Oklahoma to Walton and Etta Orr. Her love of sports began at an early age. She was the star of the school's basketball team in Sulpher Springs, Arkansas before moving to Parma where Jolene graduated in 1955. She was employed at Idaho First Bank after graduation. She married Ralph McDaniel on September 21, 1957. Together they had three children, Teresa, Randy and Joel. Jolene was a devoted wife and mother.
Besides caring for her family, Jolene had many interests and hobbies. She was an avid bowler, belonging to three different bowling leagues at one time, Sugar Bowl in Nyssa, Talbot Lanes in Caldwell and Bulldog Lanes in Nampa. She acquired many trophies over the years and when her health prohibited her from bowling, she generously donated her trophies to local handicapped leagues. A huge sports fan, Jolene watched little league baseball, bull riding and tennis on TV regularly. She followed high school wrestling with her mother and father, never missing a tournament as long as she was able, even after her children had graduated. Jolene loved working in her yard and garden and going fishing. She also loved quilting and made heirloom quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards with her mother and sisters and teaching multiple card games to her children and grandchildren.
Jolene is survived by her husband, Ralph of Parma; two children, Teresa (Ben) Rust of Eden, and Joel (Stacy) McDaniel of Parma; grandchildren, Nathan (Julie) Kurz of Parma, Andrea Kurz of Las Vegas, NV, Kami Rust of Portland, OR, Tanya (Mike) Lowder of Homedale and Curtis McDaniel, Alexis McDaniel, Mikel Reb McDaniel and Sage McDaniel all of Parma; five great-grandchildren, Hailey & Jayde Kurz, Ty & Jase Lowder and Elizabeth McDaniel; three brothers, Kenneth, Vernon and Eugene Orr; and four sisters, Dean, Marjorie, Donna Sue and Veonne.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy McDaniel, her parents, and her brother, Edward Leon Orr.
