Joseph Smith Jr.(2013 - 2013)

Joseph B. Smith, Jr.
August 7, 1958 - April 4, 2013
On April 4, 2013 Joseph (Joe) B. Smith, Jr. passed away due to complications from a long battled heart disease. Joe loved fishing, bowling, helping people and playing with cars with his best bud, Charlie Hoff. Joe was born in Schenectady, NY and had lived in places around the globe symbolized by his proud Air Force career. He spent the last leg of his military career as a Red Horse Engineer. After retirement he formed his own company, Treasure Valley Maintenance and Inspections, out of Nampa. Joe was always there to help a friend, neighbor, family members and plain old strangers with what was needed. If you knew him for more than a minute you were a friend for life. He was the reason that LVAD Warriors existed on the internet, which does such a good thing by giving support to fellow VADers from around the world. Joe leaves behind his wife, Jenny, who was with him through thick and thin and adored him through it all. She will forever be his "wingman". He is survived by his children, Robert, Erik (Michelle), Elizabeth, Molly, Joshua (Sarah), Kimmy (Erik) and Jeremy (Candace), as well as 15 1/2 grandchildren, as well as his much loved brother, Don Frasure, and sisters Bette-Jo (David) Yawn, Marilyn Whitehead, and Marliss (Craig) Hamilton. There will be a Celebration of Life for Joe at the Golden Corral, 2122 N. Cassia St in Nampa Sunday the 21st at 6 pm (meals provided) Joe will be put to rest on Monday the 22nd at the Idaho Veterans cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Lisa Williams/LVAD Warriors, PO Box 28303, Spokane, WA 99228, in Joe's honor.
