Lewis Aggie - Aguinaldo Herrera
December 2, 1947 - March 21, 2014
Aggie, age 67, was brought home to our lord March 21st, 2014 at Saint Al's Hospital in Nampa, Idaho after a long and debilitating illness. Aggie was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1947 and was raised by his mother and father Lucy and Dan Romero. Aggie then moved to Colorado before coming to Nampa where he was raised and educated. After high school Aggie joined the United States Army
and served his country from 1969 to 1971. After serving in the US armed forces, Aggie came back home to Nampa where he called home for the next 41 years. Aggie worked for various prominent companies during the growth of Nampa before finishing his career at Boise Cascade Container.
Aggie is survived by siblings Charlotte & Jim Archer, Linda Martinez, Manuel & Keyva Herrera, Billy & Marlette Romero, Ted & Denise Romero, Joe & Toni Redding, Anna & Louis Vargas, Joe & Esther Romero, Fred & Kay Romero and Judy Brown. His children Becky & Dennis Ward, Will & Cassandra Herrera, Damian & Belinda Herrera, Virginia Herrera, Naomi Garza and Tesha Sunday. Aggie was proud of his 24 grandkids and 4 Great grand kids and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Aggie is preceded in death by his parents Dan and Lucy Romero. His two sons Lewis and Brett Herrera and daughter Sarah Herrera, brothers Fermin Herrera and Louis Romero and brother in-law Rudy Martinez, grand kids Felica and Andrew Herrera and nephew Jason Ramirez.
Aggie loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to play pool and all kinds of sports; boxing was one of his favorites. Aggie taught his nieces and nephews how to play softball and other sports. Aggie loved to be around his family and friends and always left a lasting impression.
Aggie has been fighting his illness for 10 years with the help of these special people including family and friends. Jim and Charlotte Archer, Manuel and Keyva Herrera, Issac and Susan Chavez, Dion Chavez and his other half Veronica Lemaster. As well as the veterans administration, St. Al's hospital and Trinity Mission Health and rehab. of Holly.
Service/Rosary will be held March 28th, 2014 at Nampa Funeral Home 415 12th Ave. South from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
