Lois Mae (Schwalbe) Emerson
March 20, 1930 - July 11, 2013
Lois Schwalbe Emerson was born on March 20, 1930 in Nampa, Idaho. She passed away on July 11, 2013 after a short illness. She was raised and educated in Nampa. 1948 was a busy year for Lois. She graduated from Nampa High School, won the state singles tennis championship, and was married to Waldo Emerson on August 8th of that year. Lois was an expert marksman who loved to hunt and fish and spend time in the outdoors.
Lois was preceded in death by her father and mother, Eli and Carrie Schwalbe, her brothers, Eli, David, and Dan, and her sister Alberta Wilson.
Lois is survived by her husband Waldo Emerson of Nampa; daughter Vickie (Loren) Crabtree of Sumas, Washington; son Rick (Juanita) Emerson of Wylie, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of XL Hospice and Grace Assisted Living for their help and kindness through this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. An online guest book may be signed at www.nampafuneralhome.com
