Michael Murray

Michael Leon Murray
January 20, 1952 - July 15, 2013
Michael Leon Murray passed away in his home Monday morning, July 15, 2013. He lived the 61 years of his life as a resident of Parma, Idaho, born to Fred ("Leon") and Vernadine Murray on January 20th, 1952.
He graduated Parma High School in 1970. During his schooling, he developed a love for baseball, a hobby that continued for years with league play. After attending Boise State College, he began a career at Agri-Lines Irrigation where he served Parma and the surrounding community for most of his life. He was known for his humor, honesty, and excellent work ethic. It wasn't uncommon for a customer to hear that a job scheduled for a week was finished by Mike the next day. The local farmers knew he was the one to go to when they had any irrigation problem they needed solved quickly and correctly. A favorite form of payment was "you'll just owe me one," reflecting his strong sense of small-town community values.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his boys, making memories coaching little league baseball and taking them to movies on the weekends. His other passions included fishing, camping, and trips to Jackpot with his good luck charms (these weren't always so lucky, the State of Nevada is also mourning Mike's passing!).
Mike is survived by his caring family, including his mother Vernadine, his two sons, Greg Murray (wife Kirsten) and Jeremy Murray (wife Sarah); his three sisters, Connie Witherspoon (husband Clint), Sandy Telford (husband Craig), and Theresa Rose (husband Dick); and his grandchildren Owen, Grey, Alice, Gus, and Miles Murray. He was preceded in death by his father Leon.
His family would like to thank all that were with and helped Mike in his later days. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
