Regina M. Uehlin
July 10, 1920 - February 13, 2014
Regina M. Uehlin passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Spring Ridge Assisted Living, in Caldwell, Idaho. She was born July 10, 1920, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles and Marie Rowland and was raised, educated and graduated from high school in 1938. Her first job was making cards for Hallmark.
Regina married Dallas Uehlin on January 18, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri. They had two children, Carolyn and Sharon. The family moved to Idaho in 1948 and farmed in the Black Canyon area for many years. Regina was a city girl but quickly learned how to drive a tractor and milk cows. They were later divorced.
Her family was always the focus of her life. She worked in the Assessor's office and later worked at Safeway stores as a check cashier and bookkeeper for 15 years. She enjoyed camping at her Donnely property, doing embroidery work and also enjoyed the company of her dogs. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Elanor Pierson, and her daughter; Carolyn Greiner, grandson; Lonn Greiner, three great-grandchildren; Glory, Nathan and Grace Greiner, all of Eagle River Alaska in 2011.
Regina is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Cook of Middleton; four grandchildren, Sharilyn Greiner of Eagle River, Alaska, Jennifer King and Christy Cook of Caldwell and Mike and Corie Cook of Boise; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Rowland of Arizona; and a sister, Darlene Rowland of Nevada as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Accent Hospice Services for their special loving care as well as Spring Ridge Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 17, 2014, 3:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
