Rolin Phillips Jr.

Rolin Anderson Phillips Jr.
September 6, 1938 - July 13, 2014
Rolin Anderson Phillips, 75, of Nampa went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13, 2014.
Rolin was born in Boise, ID to Rolin and Ruth Phillips on September 6, 1938. His brother, Sidney Phillips followed being born on September 6 of a different year. Rolin's parents divorced and he spent some of his happiest years in the care of his Grandmother, Ruth and Aunt, Ellie. Rolin Sr. later married Elisabeth Vestal and two more children were added to the family. He graduated from high school and went directly into the service. From there he went to work for Hercules and then on to Tooele Army Depot. While there he met and married his wife of 39 years, DeEdra Keener. Together they came to the Lord in 1990. Rolin loved his Lord and Savior and trusted Him with his everyday life. Jesus was the center of his home and he took his responsibility as head of his home seriously. He trusted the Bible and believes that it is the literal, God Breathed Word of our God. His life verse was Psalm 139:23-24. He attended Lakeview Bible Church at the time of his passing.
Rolin is survived by his wife, DeEdra, his brother, Sidney Curtis and sisters, Linda Richard and Janet Cronin. He is also survived by cousins, Judy and Dave Emory, Dan and Shelly Hinz, Karl and Cora Hinz, Sharene and Rowdy Campbell as well as 11 younger cousins. The family wishes to thank the following: Drs. Montamat, Bathina, Dejernes, and Parkinson for their care in his last months. Thank you to St. Luke's Hospice workers Linda and Brett for their tender care of Rolin and his wife and to the fire department and ambulance crews who helped Rolin. God bless each of you for your servant's hearts.
