Teiko "Tay" Munden

Teiko "Tay" Munden, 81, of Nampa passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral services have been entrusted to Alsip Funeral Chapel where visitation will be held on Friday, June 8 from 6-8 pm. Pastor Jim Richardson of New Hope Church will be officiating the services on Saturday, June 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Alsip Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Tay was born January 10, 1932 in Manchuria and lived in Japan until she was 24, when she fell in love with a GI, Sam Munden, Jr and moved to the United States. She married Sam in a Japanese ceremony in December 1955. They married officially at the US Embassy on March 13, 1956. Tay and Sam had three children. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Mann (Jeff Mann); son, Charlie Munden; and grandchildren, Stephen Mann, Kiara Mann, and Amanda Mann. She is preceded in death by her son, Davie Munden; grandson, Kenny Mann; and her husband, Sam.
Tay took pride in her wonderful gourmet cooking. Sam would often brag about her cooking and that he "taught her how to cook". Tay was a survivor of breast cancer
