Todd Michael Goertzen
On April 6, 2013 Todd Michael Goertzen went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Todd and his twin sister Tawni Michele, were born August 22, 1967 in Caldwell, Idaho. He attended schools in Meridian, and Nampa, Idaho. Todd loved sports, fitness, and hunting. He was a great little league pitcher, he also played football, roller hockey, and softball, excelling in all. Todd's greatest joy was being on the ball field.
At the age of 21, Todd joined the Army to serve his country. Two years of which, were served in Korea, and later he was a proud member of the SORT team through Idaho Department of Corrections.
Todd's greatest love of all was his beautiful children. You are your son's hero and your daughter's first love.
He is survived by his children, Brittany ( Jon) of Payette, Logan , Makenna, their mother Jody of Idaho Falls, and grandchildren Landon and Kyrie, father Larry Goertzen ( Betty), his mother DeAnna Howard ( Mark), His siblings Paige Hoover ( Larry), Tawni Burley ( David), Chris Goertzen (Sally), Dusty Howard ( Nicki), Lacey Madrigal ( Ricardo), Jeff Howard, Jeff Markovich (Jasmin), and Dawn Marie Sandmeyer, his grandmother Doris Kindall, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Abe and Margaret Goertzen, Bennie Kindall, and Cousin Jason Martell.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday April 19th, 2:00 p.m. at The Pursuit, 6151 N. Discovery Pl. Boise, the church he attended. He found refuge, love, and support within The Pursuit family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund was set up for Todd's children at Idaho Central Credit Union. Reference # 706773703. His family would like to thank Zeyer Funeral Chapel for their compassion and support during this difficult time. Our hearts are broken and life as we know it here, will never be the same. The Lord needed you on HIS team upstairs, "44, come on HOME!" HE proclaimed. "I need you to pitch tomorrow." We love and miss you Todd. Your special gift to make us smile and laugh will be treasured and never forgotten. Till we meet again.
