Magdaline Sanchotena Obituary
She was married to Michel Sanchotena in Elko, Nev., on June 22, 1934.
They moved to Burley in 1950 and then to Meridian in 1958 where they farmed for about 42 years.
After retiring from farming they moved to Eagle and spent much of their time camping, fishing, hunting and hanging out with their family. Maggie was preceded in death by her husband Michel, her parents, two sisters, one brother, and three grandchildren.
Maggie is survived by three sisters, two brothers, her daughter Mary (Terry) Hasselbring, and three sons: Mich (Shirley) Sanchotena, John (Christi) Sanchotena, and Albert Sanchotena; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren
Maggie was a great wife and mother and was loved very much by her family and friends and will be missed by all.
The sadness of our loss is replaced by the joy that she is at home in her heavenly place.
The family would like to extend thanks to all the staff at Ashley Manor (Elgin St.), St. Luke's hospice that cared for mom in the earlier stages of her illness, and especially to Auburn Crest Hospice during the final part of mom's life.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd., in Meridian.
Services are under the direction of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, Meridian.
