Ruth McElhannon Obituary

Ruth was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leotta and John Daniel Allen.
She was a dedicated Christian and worked to serve her Lord her whole life. She married Elmer McElhannon in May of 1931, and they had four children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; son, Calvin; son-in-love, Don Daniel, and daughter-in-love, Nancy McElhannon, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons, Dan (Sally), John, daughter Ruth Daniel, sister Donna Sorensen, brother Art Fogelberg, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m., with a viewing held one hour prior to the service at 9 a.m. at the LDS church located at 88 S. Happy Valley Rd. in Nampa (between Victory and Amity).
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Ore. Arrangements are with Boise Funeral Home Aclesa Chapel (208-322-3999).

My children, Ethan, Seth, and Shiloh, and I loved Ruth! She was such a sweet lady. I know she was looking forward to being with the Lord Jesus. We will always remember her smile. She had a wonderful influence on me.
