Aloya Garrison

1919 - 2011

Aloya E. Garrison returned home to the Lord peacefully in Kuna on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the age of 91. She was born on Oct. 22, 1919, in Longmont, Colorado to Albert and OcieTobin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Edward C. Garrison, her parents; brothers, Richard Tobin, Dale Tobin, Gail Tobin, and Albert Tobin; sister-in-law, Madeline Tobin; sister, Geraldine Seago; brother-in-law, Orval Seago, and brother-in-law, Bill Lovett.
She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Songer and brother-in-law Charles Songer, Georgia Potter and brother-in-law Troy Potter, Colleen Lovett, and Wynona Schroeder and brother-in-law Don Schroeder, as well as many loved nieces and nephews; her two daughters, Twyla Rae Perry and husband Bob Perry of Kuna, and Myrna Rulon and husband Curtis Rulon of Rancho Murieta, Calif.; her grandchildren, Dawnell Perry, Sherri Rulon, and Lee Perry and wife Leslie. She had one great-grandson, Kaiden Perry.
Aloya was a pastor's wife in the Church of the Nazarenefor 38 years. She and her husband pastored in Loveland, Colo., San Francisco, Calif., Bakersfield, Calif., and Buhl, Ida., where Aloyawas active in world missions, children's ministries, youth ministries, church camps, and music. She and her husband also managed Holly Manor for 28 years after Edward retired from the ministry.
They retired to Nampa in 1975 where they attended Bethel Church of the Nazarene.
Aloya loved to read, and enjoyed working with flowers, making beautiful arrangements for different functions, including weddings. She found joy in things of beauty. She also loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
