Connie Elizabeth Harris Underhill lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Memorial services will be held for her in Utah and Idaho, and she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, John Underhill, at the Melba Cemetery. Connie was born October 21, 1950, in Nampa, Idaho, to George and Melba Tipton Harris. She grew up in Melba, Idaho, graduating from Melba High School. She went on to get an Associate's Degree from Ricks College and then a BS in Home Economics from Brigham Young University. She met John on a blind date and they were married on December 22, 1973. She was a proud stay-at-home mom and raised six children in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved to Arizona after John passed away and taught middle school FACS. She retired to Utah and spent her time spoiling her grandchildren. She loved her children, being a grandma, sewing, and church service. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Robert Harris. She is survived by her brothers, Richard and Thomas Harris; her six children: Kimberly, Janie, Jacob, Joshua, Jerry, and Jesse; and her 14 grandchildren. A Utah memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one block south of 7000 S. on 3200 W. in Taylorsville. A memorial service will also be held in Idaho at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20 at the Melba First Ward LDS Chapel, 112 Randolph Ave, Melba. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300.
