Dominic Moro
February 21,1920 - August 20, 2012
Dominic Moro passed away peacefully in his home with his family at his side on August 20, 2012. He was a magnificent 92 years young.
He was born in Walla Walla, Washington of Italian immigrant parents. He was the youngest of seven children. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army from 1942 through 1943. He married his sweetheart in 1942 and started a family in Walla Walla. He homesteaded in the Purple Sage area in 1951 and moved his small family to Idaho where he continued to raise and grow his family on his dairy and farm. He was also a shift manager for many years at Simplot's and Carnation's.
Long after retirement, he continued his love for growing things with a huge garden and provided abundant produce for the family. He also built a beautiful cabin in Cascade and recreated there with his family for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Giacomo and Ernesta Moro; his brothers (Ben, Louie, Nat, and Ralph) and sisters (Theresa and Marie); and his only son, Dennis Moro.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Pauline Moro; five of his six children, Nikki Sexton, Barbara Benson, Pamela (Kenneth) Henderson, Melissa (Kenneth) Stringfield, and Sherri (Dan) Whitted; 12 grandchildren, Brad Sexton, Shane Sexton, Chip Brown, Kayliene Baker, Michael Moro, Tina Willis, Melanie Huber, Kim Cathcart, Sara Stringfield, Lucas Stringfield, Jordan Stringfield, and Quinlan Stringfield; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

A viewing for Dominic will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa. A Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Middleton Cemetery, Middleton, Idaho.
