Francisca Alvarez Lopez, age 67, of Caldwell, ID passed away at her home of natural causes on January 21, 2013. She was born on October 25, 1945 in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Guadalupe Alvarez, her aunts Felipa Marroquin (Nampa, ID) and Ramona Lopez (Greely, CO) and uncle Felipe Lopez (Lodi, CA).
She married her husband, Juan Vicente Lopez, on September 25, 1965. They migrated to and from Texas and settled in Caldwell, ID in 1970 and have lived there since. From this marriage came five daughters, Sonia (Roberto) Perez, Amy (Arturo) Rojas, Edena (Isaias) Alfaro, Estrella (Armando) Solis, Nereida Lopez and her only son, Juan Luis Lopez. She is survived by her husband, all six children, sixteen grandchildren, her first great grandchild (due in March) and many nieces and nephews, her three sisters, Ayde Cortina, Isabel Paz, Connie Alvarez and her only brother Felix Alvarez.
She enjoyed working on her yard, garden and her roses. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially at our family gatherings. She simply loved the outdoors.
Wife, Mommy, Grandma, sister and aunt, we weren't ready to let you go but we know that you're spreading your angel wings in Heaven as God has other plans for you. You were a very strong woman with such a big heart and you always put your family first and lived through faith. Your love is irreplaceable and will never leave us. We will miss you dearly, until we meet again.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013, 6:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 28, 2013, 10:30AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell. Graveside service will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
