Gregory Lynn Evans
June 3, 1959 - August 27, 2012
On August 27, 2012, Gregory Lynn Evans, 53, formerly of Middleton, ID was tragically taken from this world in an accident outside of Tioga, ND.
Greg was born June 3, 1959 to Tom and Shirley (Krueger) Evans in Caldwell, ID. He attended school in Middleton, where he lived most of his life.
Greg excelled in Heavy Equipment Operating and Truck Driving. His father said, "If it had wheels and a steering wheel, he could drive it". Greg was a hard worker, capable of perfecting whatever he set out to do. His most notorious skill was mastering charm and storytelling.
He could confidently convince a listener he was the most fascinating character they'd ever met. And he was. We will miss his captivating smile and "gift of gab". Greg's greatest strength was his devotion to his family. He was truly best friends with his father, Tom, and made a point to call him every day faithfully. He supported and was proud of his brothers, John Payne (and Jennifer, of Vancouver, WA), Dick Payne,(Nampa, ID), and Tom and Marty, both of Middleton, ID. He was building stronger relationships with his five children, Kathy Marshall, Laramie Campbell, Colton Evans, Melissa Halbert and Tommy Evans. He had 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He spent many good times with his uncles Terry and Gene and Gorgi. Close friendships with cousin Terry Gene Reynolds, former wife Jackie, and his lifelong best buddies Steve Thurber, Andy Halbert and Jim Beam. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley, grandparents and aunts.
Please plan on attending Greg's Memorial Service from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at Adventure Plaza, 109 Main St., City Center of Middleton. Thursday, September 6, 2012. Please stop by and share memories of good times with the Evans family.
As remembrance in Greg's honor, please devote some extra time with one of your family members or friends you haven't seen in a while. Check in often with those you love and Keep your family bonds strong, always.
"Some of the best living we do is in those we leave behind".
