Jeffrey Lynn Pryor
Jeffery Lynn Pryor, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend died Monday after an accident.
Jeff was born on April 30, 1952 in Prineville, Oregon to Don and Arlene Pryor and was the youngest of 6 children. The early years of Jeff's life were spent in Juntura, Oregon where he lived with his family in the top of the Train Depot. They moved to the Roswell area and eventually called Parma, Idaho home for several years.
As the youngest of 6 siblings, Jeff was the sibling that caused his sisters grief with his mischievous pranks. As a teen, Jeff loved tinkering with old cars and trucks, a hobby he would carry throughout his life. Jeff spent much of his early years learning the values of hard work, faith, integrity, and to always keep a clean car; which was something he learned from his father.
Jeff attended and graduated from Parma High which is where he met his sweetheart and future wife Shelly Mower. They dated, fell in love and were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in June of 1972. Taking lessons from his youth, Jeff went right to work to take care of his new wife. Over a period of several years they were blessed with 10 children.
Jeff always had a desire to "be his own boss", and he made that desire a reality by opening and running a local business for over 30 years. Heeding the lessons from his youth, Jeff would do whatever his customers needed.
Jeff was active in the LDS Church and his faith and trust in God was inspiring to many. Over the years he had many callings in the church which he served faithfully and went above and beyond the call of duty.
As a family man, Jeff was a dedicated husband to his sweetheart and an amazing dad to his children. With his wife by his side, they worked hard to raise their children in the gospel and to be an example to everyone around them. They enjoyed many years together camping in the fifth wheel, movie nights and taking long drives together. Jeff enjoyed camping, fishing, classic cars and trucks and spending time with family. But the thing he loved most was to watch his children participate in sports, dance, singing and just being kids.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Donald Wayne Pryor. His memory will forever live on in the life of his Mother, Arlene Pryor, his loving wife Shelly and children: Travis (Amy) Pryor, Hilary (Sam) Erbe, Kelsey (Brian) Asmussen, Britney (Nate) Allen, Jentrey (Dave) Potter, Mason Pryor, Mitchell Pryor, Makenna (Jake) Simmons, Kimberlin Pryor, Jaxon Pryor and 15 grand kids: Jocelyn Erbe, Payton Allen, Riley Allen, Corbin Potter, Coleton Potter, Thatcher Erbe, Devrie Erbe, Adelie Potter, Macie Allen, Haedyn Asmussen, Heston Potter, Ashlynn Brown, Barrett Allen, Greyson Potter and Izabella Vuittonet. He is also survived by his siblings Kay (Jack) Curless, Vickie (Dave) McArthur, Lorna O'Brezar, Sharon (Dan) Korn and Phil (Roxie) Pryor.
