Joe Tatsuhiko Inaba, age 94, of Nampa, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to the family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com.

Joe was born on Jan. 5, 1916, to Tomoji and Maru Inaba in Wapato, Wash. Joe graduated from Wapato High School in 1934. He was an avid baseball player, which was one of the highlights of his life. Joe was the last surviving member of the Wapato Nippons Baseball Team.
Joe married Matsuko Yasuda on Dec. 14, 1942 in Wapato. In 1942, they relocated to Vale, Ore. Throughout his years Joe farmed and into his later years he and Matsuko had a truck farm, providing fresh produce to many local stores. He was an artist, enjoying painting and drawing.
Joe is survived by his wife, Matsuko; son, Brian of Nampa; daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Phil Bernard of Parker, Colo.; four granddaughters, Tiana Matsuko Bernard of Denver, Colo., Kylie Jo Bernard of Parker, Colo., Nicole Marcum of Tucson, Ariz., and Chelsea Shaver of Boise; one grandson, Eric (Desi) Shaver of Nampa; three great -grandsons, Tyler, Austin and Conner Marcum of Tucson, Ariz., and great- granddaughter, Sadie Shaver of Nampa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Frank Inaba.
