Muriel Ostrin Obituary
Born in Caldwell, Ida., March 20, 1933, died May 5, 2011, at home in Seattle, Wash.
A memorial service will be held on May 15, at 3 p.m. at North Seattle Friends Church.
A Riverside Community girl who worked hard and loved gardening, Muriel graduated from Greenleaf Friends Academy in 1951. She married Ernie Ostrin at Greenleaf Friends Church on June 14, 1954.
They settled in Seattle, where their daughters Ardis and Linda were raised.
Muriel left bookkeeping for full-time motherhood and to help others however she could.
Muriel lived out her love for Jesus Christ, her family, and others in many ways throughout her life, responding in compassionate and practical ways to others' needs.
She is survived by her husband, Howard E. Ostrin; daughters, Ardis Drain and Linda Hawthorne, grandchildren, Tommy and Valerie Hawthorne and Rheannon Drain, and her sisters Jean Morrison and Joyce Belt and their families, as well as many cousins.
