Philip Ray Corder
Philip Ray Corder passed away with his wife, Brenda, by his side at St. Alphonsus Hospital after a 4 week struggle with Meningitis on March 25, 2014. Phil was born May 15, 1965 in Nampa, ID, son of Marge and the late Herbert Corder. He was married to his sweetheart, Brenda Kershaw, for eternity in the Boise Idaho LDS Temple on June 16, 1990. Phil was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently in the Caldwell 6th Ward. He graduated from Nampa High School, was an Eagle Scout, and served for two years in the Hawaii, Honolulu Mission. Phil held multiple professions until 1999 when he started his own successful business, Flying C Construction, which he operated until the time of his death. Most of all Phil loved to be with his family, and also enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, family history, and church history. His daughter, Amelia, is presently serving in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission. Phil will be remembered most for his faith in his Father in Heaven, his love for his family, and strong work ethic. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Brenda; his eight children: Emily and Allen Calkins, Amelia, Makayla, Philip Ky, Caytlyn, Kaylee, Meisha, and Carson; his mother, Marge; his siblings and extended family members. Preceded in death by his son, Hyrum; father, Herbert; and father-in-law, Larry Kershaw. Special thanks to family, friends, and neighbors for the love and kindness shown.
