December 2, 1943 - July 16, 2012
Ralph Freeman Mark went home to his Heavenly Father on July 16, 2012. He died at home from congestive heart failure.
Freeman was born to Ralph and Agnes Mark in Lusk, Wyoming December 2, 1943. He was raised in Torrington, Wyoming attending Torrington schools all 12 years and a short time in Goshen County Community College. Freeman was employed at Z & W Mill and the Wyoming Highway Engineers Division. While in Torrington, he married and had three sons from this first marriage. Moving to Gillette in 1966 he served with the Gillette Police Dept. rising to the rank of sergeant. He received many awards, and was most proud of his Silver Star for Bravery for trying to rescue two little girls from a burning mobile home. It was in Gillette that he met the love of his life, Suzanne Painter. They were married in Rapid City, S. D., on May 12, 1972. In 1976, he moved his family to Nampa, Idaho where he worked in sales until he retired. Freeman and Suzanne just celebrated 40 years of marriage in May. Freeman's favorite thing to do was fishing. At least now, he will always catch one and they won't be hatchery planted. It's difficult to cram a lifetime into a few sentences, but the most important part of his life was that Freeman had a great love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was ready to meet his maker.
Though we know we will see him again, he will be missed by his wife Suzanne, sons Richard and Shawn, and those who knew and loved him. Freeman was preceded in death by his son Daniel, his parents and six brothers.
